And to top that, Miss Piggy and Kermit the Frog make a special appearance!
My daughter and I were invited to attend a showing and we’re so happy that we did! Did you know that The El Capitan Theatre makes an appearance in this film and was the backdrop for the The Muppets in 2011! I can’t think of a better place to see this film in Southern California!
Moviegoers will see Miss Piggy’s outfits (there are many) along with Animal’s drum kit and the tiny Interpol car driven by French inspector, Jean Pierre Napoleon. Miss Piggy’s Vivienne Westwood couture long ivory court wedding gown is gorgeous. Her entire ensemble, from her engagement ring down to her shoes, are on display in the lobby of The El Capitan Theatre.
Before every film (drum roll please) our favorite Muppet couple, Kermit and Miss Piggy, appear live on stage! Muppets fans will melt when Kermit brings out his banjo and sings “The Rainbow Connection” with his favorite pig. Another old-school Muppet song is squeezed in but I don’t want to ruin all the surprises!
Stop by at the adjacent Ghirardelli Soda Fountain & Chocolate Shop and shop for Muppet souvenirs or order up the Muppets Sundae. Finish your sensational day visiting Kermit’s Star on Hollywood Blvd (in front of Hollywood & Highland). My daughter and I had a blast!
