Review & Giveaway: Squinkies

Every Holiday Season there is  an “IT” toy. I remember when I was young it was Cabbage Patch Kids and when my 16 year old daughter, Kaleigh,  was young there was Tickle Me Elmo.  This year, Blip Toys are close to gaining the title with their Squinkies Surprize Inside toys.

If you haven’t seen Squinkies, they are tiny little squishy rubber toys that come in a plastic bubble. There are many different designs ranging from babies, pets, puppies and friends.  Each Squinkie comes in a “bubble” pack with 16 Squinkies. 12 Squinkies will be part of the series and then the remaining four Squinkies, that are in frosted bubbles, are surprise Squinkies. There are hundreds of different Squinkies and kids can keep track of them online.  Each Squinkie can be used with the Squinkie playsets.  The playsets, that include a gumball surprise set and a tea time surprise, come with their own coins that children can insert to get a Squinkie surprise.  There are also bracelet sets where kids can create jewelery with their Squinkies!

Adeline received a Squinkies Series 7 bubble pack for us to review. She was so excited to open each little plastic container and see what was inside. She had a great time playing with them but she may be a little young for such a small toy. The little Squinkies were easily lost. I think if she was a little older she would have been able to keep them all together. The night that she got her Squinkies some of the neighborhood kids came over (age 8,9, 10) and the first thing they noticed were the Squinkies!  They were so excited to see which ones Adeline had.

You can purchase Squinkies at Target, Walmart or ToysRus for around $9.99 but they are selling out quick all over the place.
