Disneyland hosted our visit. Opinions are our own.
Halloween is the one time of year when Disney gets to show-off it’s “Spooky Side”! Haunted Mansion Holiday features Tim Burton’s Jack Skellington who takes over the Haunted Mansion in New Orleans Square! He adds a touch of mystery and an extra scare factor to the ride!
Grab a FastPass to beat the lines but I suggest waiting as standby to check out the ghastly décor around the mansion. It will get you in the spirit before entering the famous Stretching Room! Slide into your “Doom Buggies” for a Nightmare Before Christmas inspired journey where you’ll meet Zero, Sally and the “Pumpkin King” who wants to know if you’re on the naughty or nice list!
Don’t forget to spot the delightful Gingerbread House in the ballroom! Well, well, what do we have here? It’s the Boogeyman! Oogie Boogie is part of the Gingerbread display and I read that he’s 7 feet tall!
After the ride, you won’t want to miss a photo opp with Jack and Sally! They are set up next to the Port Royal shop in New Orleans Square. Tip: Photopass is included with your Mickey’s Halloween Party ticket so take advantage of free downloads of your images. I love to take my own photos but Disney Photographers really capture the magic and the lighting is perfect!
After your visit, step into Port Royal for some HauntedMansion-themed merchandise and goodies.
And if you are obsessed with collecting hard-to-find Disney items, this Oogie-Boogie popcorn holder is a scream! It’s $15 BUT refills are $1 and it’s seriously one of the cutest popcorn holders ever! It even has a strap. I heard it’s a hard one to get your hands on but try to if you dare.
Haunted Mansion Holiday will be dressed in its Halloween/Christmas best until early 2018! Have a boo-tiful time at Disneyland this Halloween season!
