Millie Bobby Brown just can’t seem to stop running into monsters. Instead of the creatures of Stranger Things, she finds herself in the middle of a fight between towering Kaijus like Godzilla, Mothra, Rodan, and Godzilla’s ultimate nemesis, the three-headed King Ghidorah.
The new story follows the heroic efforts of the crypto-zoological agency Monarch as its members face off against a battery of god-sized monsters, including the mighty Godzilla, who collides with Mothra, Rodan, and his ultimate nemesis, the three-headed King Ghidorah. When these ancient super-species—thought to be mere myths—rise again, they all vie for supremacy, leaving humanity’s very existence hanging in the balance.
Godzilla: King Of The Monsters is the third chapter of the Warner Bros. Monster Universe that was launched in 2014, then followed up with Kong: Skull Island, where we saw that the Monsters Universe was much larger than first thought.
While this may be the first trailer, the size, scope, and scale of this trailer looks breathtaking. The monsters tower over the puny humans, who are on the hunt for the Titans. However, their search might unlock something even more dangerous, as their fight could leave the Earth in ruins.
Directed by Michael Dougherty, Godzilla: King of the Monsters is set for a May 31, 2019 release.
