Due to the global COVID pandemic in 2020, Free Comic Book Day was postponed from May, to a later date during the Summer of 2020. But as the pandemic became ongoing throughout that year all across the country, it became apparent that this event would be held differently than the usual one day event.
Fast-forward to 2021 and Free Comic Book Day is celebrating 20 Years of Free Comics, as it returns to participating comic shops all across the country on Saturday, August 14th. It’s the perfect opportunity to get back into the world of comics and hang out with friends & family. From super-heroes and science fiction to action/adventure and manga, Free Comic Book Day has a FREE comic for everyone!
