Can you believe Finding Nemo came out in 2003?? “Just keep swimming” has been my motto for the past 13 years and I’ll be swimming (actually flying) on March 7 to beautiful Monterey, California to hear about the film’s sequel, Finding Dory!! That’s right, Finding Dory is the highly anticipated sequel from Disney/Pixar and it comes out on June 17th (insert applause here). I have a feeling that the film will be a huge summer blockbuster.
Once again, Ellen DeGeneres will voice Dory, the regal tang who suffers from short-term memory loss. Looks like Dory has a backstory! The film’s trailer shows Dory on a personal adventure after she has a memory of her parents. Hopefully she’ll remember them if she finds them!
On my trip, I’ll learn more about the film from the filmmakers and animators. The film is directed by 2-time Oscar winner Andrew Stanton (he worked on my favorite Wall-E!!). We’ll see select footage from the film and we’ll also visit one of my favorite aquariums, Monterey Bay Aquarium during our press trip! The Aquarium is on Cannery Row so I hope we get to stop at the Ghirardelli Ice Cream & Chocolate Shop for a huge sundae!!
