- The Sea of Sunflowers has returned for its third appearance at The Flower Fields at Carlsbad Ranch. Spanning 5-acres, the Sea of Sunflowers patch showcases a dazzling array of colors, shapes, and sizes, all included with the price of your entry ticket. Of course, the Sea of Sunflowers is in addition to the millions of Giant Tecolote Ranunculus blooms spread across 50 acres of The Flower Fields at Carlsbad Ranch, open daily between 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. through Mother’s Day on Sunday, May 12.
- Mother’s Day at The Flower Fields marks the final day of the “Spring into Color” season and will be spent honoring the cherished mothers in your life with a captivating display of flowers and enchanting performances throughout the day, featuring the colorful dancing of the Rancho Buena Vista High School’s Ballet Folklorico.

- Oceanside-based contemporary pop surrealist painter and muralist Michael Summers has completed his mural titled “Unexpected Joy” in The Flower Fields at Carlsbad Ranch’s Master Gardeners Demonstration Garden. Locals and visitors to San Diego alike may have seen Michael Summers‘ famous Catnap mural in Carlsbad Village, but The Flower Fields piece features elephants set against the natural display at The Flower Fields at Carlsbad Ranch: puffy clouds, rolling hills and of course… ranunculus flowers
Single ticket admission is $23 for adults, $21 for seniors 60+ and military, $14 for children 3–10, and free for children under three. Season passes are $48 for adults, $44 for seniors 60+, $28 for children 3–10, with group tours also available..
