The CLANGERS are coming, and they’re ready to boldly go where no children’s television show has gone before! Sprout, the most fabulous 24-hour network dedicated to preschoolers will be introducing us to a fantastic new version of a classic BBC stop-animation tv show. That’s right, you guessed it, legendary actor, William Shatner, our very own beloved Captain James T. Kirk, from Star Trek, will be narrating this out of this world series that encourages children to explore not only our amazing world, but the great unknown.
The CLANGERS are a family straight from outer space, whose unique method of communication is sure to catch the attention of preschoolers. These bright colored aliens, from a tiny blue planet are ready for adventure with their astonishing friends to introduce your family to a new world, filled with the chance to discover a brand new world of fun. Messages of cooperation, acceptance and understanding are lessons that we all try to encourage, and the CLANGERS is an entertaining way to reinforce these positive behaviors with our children.
The show will surely draw your kids in, with a new way to say goodnight, and new episodes will be featured during “The Good Night Show” each night at 7pm.

- Each Clanger is hand-made and takes 6 weeks to produce!
- Sprout wanted someone who could really tell a story and also someone who gave that little wink to parents. To Sprout, William Shatner was a natural choice — he is someone is comfortable in space.
- At the end of the each show there is a summary to emphasis the theme of the episode. Family and kindness are the key topics of the shows.
- There are 5 key characters (Major, Granny, Mother, Small, Tiny) and there are a collection of slightly wacky characters including a cow who flies in space.
- The Clangers like to eat soup! The Soup Dragon lives underground and provide the Clangers with their favorite food.
- Aardman Animations, the people behind Wallace and Gromit, were inspired to get into animation from the Clangers.
- The Clangers are a labor of love, everything is hand made. 9-11 seconds a day of content is created. Wow, can you believe the patience and dedication it takes to make an episode??
