One of our must-see places during the Holiday season is Universal Studios Hollywood! From now until January 6, celebrate Christmas in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, where Hogsmeade transforms into a dazzling spectacular! The Who-tacular Grinchmas celebration is also back for their annual holiday residency. Here are my favorite things to do at the park!
Calling all Wizards, Witches, and Muggles – Christmas in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter returns to Universal Studios Hollywood! Nighttime is when “The Magic of Christmas at Hogwart’s Castle.” The castle comes alive with cool imagery projected against the majestic backdrop of Hogwarts castle. The show happens every half hour starting at 5:30. Make sure to get in line early and this is the best time to take advantage of shorter ride lines! My daughter waited 15 minutes to get on Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey!
Pick up a Christmas gift or two in Hogsmeade Village! Try on Robes, neckties, and admire the new line of Fantastic Beast wands or purchase a Harry Potter themed ornament as we did! Hufflepuffs rule!
Sip on your butterbeer while Enjoying entertainment by The Acappella Frog Choir who sing holiday-themed songs together in the center of the village. Worked up an appetite? Grab lunch or dinner at Three Broomsticks. I highly recommend starting with dessert. The Butterbeer™ Potted Cream is so good and will satisfy your butterbeer craving! It’s my favorite Butterbeer treat.
Transport to the pages of a Seussical holiday storybook right at Universal Plaza where the lighting of the towering 60 foot crooked “Grinchmas” tree happens. The Grinch and his loyal companion, Max will be waiting to meet you and take photos. Dance along to Martha May Who-vier and the Who Dolls will take center stage by the “Grinchmas” tree or get a front row seat for Story Time with Cindy-Lou Who – Cindy-Lou Who and her Who friends will gather with guests of all ages – tall and small – for an engaging storytelling show of Dr. Seuss’s “How the Grinch Stole Christmas”. I have to say that Grinch steals the show. He’s hilarious and is a good guy. The Grinchmas festivities run on the weekend of 8-9, and daily from December 14 – December 30!
