Summer is here and Universal Studios Hollywood is a must this 4th of July! The theme park is extending the celebration all weekend long. Guests are treated to a speculator fireworks display, entertainment in addition to the park’s awesome rides, shows and more!
Our day included favorites like Jurassic World—The Ride, The Secret Life of Pets: Off the Leash, and Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey. The Studio Tour is a fun behind the scenes journey through backlots and sets and a great way to rest your feet. We also squeezed in a few shows. We highly recommend WaterWorld. And don’t be afraid to sit on the green seats! It’s a fun way to cool off!
Tip: Invest in The Universal Express pass . You seriously cut down on wait times and you feel like a VIP when you bypass the line! We took advantage of the pass and went on almost everything at the park. I know this wouldn’t have been possible without the pass.
A visit to universal studios Hollywood wouldn’t be complete without treats! The giant pretzel is a must for me. It’s massive and shareable! Churros were on the menu for the kids and my husband enjoyed a cold alcoholic beverage.
Tip: The giant pretzels tend to sell out. There are a few locations to buy them in the plaza- Wholicious Treats, City Snacks, and Tower Snacks. Tower Snacks also carries Churros. The current specialty churro is Fruity Pebbles.
It’s been a couple of years since we’ve watched a fireworks display so we were really excited to end the evening with a beautiful and celebratory display of fireworks lighting up the sky!
Tip: Fireworks start at 9:00 PM and there are two locations to watch them- The lower lot at the Transformers ride and in the Plaza in the upper lot. Here’s a map to help you plan:
Tip: Download the Universal Studios App for showtimes, line wait times and more.
Happy 4th of July!!
