Candytopia is the golden ticket this summer! Now extended through July 22, visitors can experience this pop-up attraction filled with wonderful sweetness located in Santa Monica Place. My daughter’s sweet tooth was satisfied after our time in the candyland.
Created by “Hollywood Candy Queen,” Jackie Sorkin, Candytopia is a one-of-a-kind museum celebrating everything candy. Guests are invited to make their way through the maze of rooms featuring works of art built entirely out of candy. Unlike other museums, Candytopia encourages guests to touch the art and even smell it!
Rooms are filled with delicious portraits of iconic people, like Prince, Marilyn Monroe and of course, the candy man himself, Willy Wonka, who happens to be my daughter’s idol! A room with oceanic animals, another with colorful flying pigs and unicorns and others make the perfect selfie backdrops to blow your mind! Make sure to bring your camera as there is a photo opp around corner. Sign up for a sugar rush code upon entering Candytopia for special photo moments found throughout Candytopia. Photos will be emailed to you, which are perfect for social shares.
End your visit in a massive marsh pit (made of foam, so don’t worry about getting sticky.) My daughter was in candy heaven swimming through the pool of oversized marshmallows.
Visit Candytopia before it moves on to another city! You’ll also receive candy in every room you enter so you’ll not only leave with delightful memories, but also a fistful of delicious treats.
If you are all about candy, Instagram and photos then this exhibit is definitely for you! It’s a fun experience so make sure to include it to your time in Santa Monica.
