A close group of friends come together in ABC Family’s Baby Daddy to support Ben Wheeler (Jean-Luc Bilodeau), a single dad raising his baby daughter. I recently visited the set of Baby Daddy and spoke to the cast who turned out to be down-to-earth, funny and absolutely beautiful! The five actors and actresses definitely have a special bond which can be felt on and off screen.
Here’s a cool fact that I learned from each character plus I posed for some fun selfies with each actor along with my blogger buddy Shelby Barone of OC Mom Blog.

Has the show changed what you know or how you feel about kids?
Oh yeah! I already liked kids to begin with, I’ve just never picked up an infant. so, doing this show, I think that it’s warmed me up to the idea of having a bigger family than i originally planned on. I’m really good at holding the kids now and playing with them. So, it’s good practice. Although I’ve never changed a diaper, though, so that might just change the whole thing.

Are you working on any other projects right now?
I’m putting the finishing touches on my album, actually, because I’ve been wanting to do an album for a long time, I just haven’t had time. The single comes out in February and I’m releasing some free stuff online before the actual single in February like, on iTunes. The free stuff will be on blog sites and stuff like that. When the single comes out you’ll be ablget that on iTunes and Amazon. I love Prince, I love Lenny Kravitz. So it’s sort of a mix of those two. Very funky. Kind of electronic. Very different. The first single’s called ‘Walker’.

Do you come from a comedic background? You are really funny!
Yes, I did improv starting in high school then I got my double major in heater and mass communications but mostly theatre. I did that for a backup. My dad made me do it, you can ask him and then I did improv after I graduated. I moved to Minneapolis which is a great theater town. I did theater at a great workshop called Dudley Riggs and I honestly think that having improv in my background has been super helpful whether it was for comedy or for the sake of walking into an audition and changing things up to get the part. But, even when I was in theater I still managed to get a comedic role and I liked it.

How is it to work with the babies?
“It’s amazing, they are a set of twins – two babies – and they play one character. As the seasons go on, every finale to one season and premier of the next is supposed to be one week, so we have to change twins. Otherwise, our original babies are 4 1/2 years old, so we change them. The one’s we’re using now, they’re beautiful and they’re amazing. They hit all their cues and know all their lines better than we do.

So … do you want to end up with Ben or Derek?
Oh, it’s so hard! And I go back and forth, because I love them on the show and off the show, I love those boys so much. I think the writers have done such an amazing job giving them each qualities that are so lovable and so different. I mean, on paper it’s like ‘professional hockey player, 6’5″, super hot’ or ‘single dad, bartender’ [laughs].
No, but I think the fact that ‘Ben’ has really taken the reigns with being a single dad… I love that about him, and I really do understand why Reilly’s kinda torn.
I think I finally have an idea this season where it’s going so the viewers that have stuck with us – thank you for 70 episodes of, you know, who will she choose – they will get a little closure, I think, at the end of the season.
I have one thing to say about Chelsea Kane … She’s awesome!
Don’t miss the BabyDaddy winter premiere Wednesday at 8:30/7:30c on @ABCFamily!
* I was invited to an all-expense paid trip hosted by Disney and ABC Family. My opinions are my own.
