After earning an astounding $388 million worldwide against a production budget of $100 million, “Bad Boys: Ride or Die” can be yours to own or rent on home entertainment. The sequel sees the return of Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, reprising their action comedy roles. Though they’ve been the most infamous cops in all of Miami, the fourth installment has Miami detectives Mike Lowrey (Smith) and Marcus Burnett (Lawrence) attempting to clear the name of their late Captain, Conrad Howard, after he is falsely accused of conspiracy.
Like all home entertainment releases, “Bad Boys: Ride or Die” comes with a number of very cool special features. While there are the usual outtakes & bloopers, and deleted scenes, it also comes with a focus on the legacy of the franchise. One centers on the chemistry between Smith and Lawrence, and the other on executive producer Jerry Bruckheimer crafted the title franchise and where it can go from here. Other bonus features include Fights, Camera, Action and Partners in Crime.
Not only that, but there’s also an additional never-before-seen after credit scene. Although it’s not clear what this never-before-see after credit scene contains, it will likely connect to the possible sequel – something of which Bruckheimer said he was working on.
Directed by Adil & Bilall, who use a script by Chris Bremner and Will Beall, “Bad Boys Ride or Die” also stars Vanessa Hudgens, Alexander Ludwig, Paola Nuñez, Eric Dane, Ioan Gruffudd, Jacob Scipio, Melanie Liburd, Tasha Smith, with Tiffany Haddish and Joe Pantoliano.
“Bad Boys: Ride or Die” will be available to own on digital, Blu-ray, and DVD tomorrow July 23, 2024.
