Marvel Studios has released the newest trailer for “Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania.” As the third installment of the trilogy, the film acts as the opener for Phase 5 of the MCU, where Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) aka Ant-Man and Hope Van Dyne aka The Wasp (Evangeline Lilly) embark on a new adventure in the strange Quantum Realm. There, they must find their way back home, all the while fighting a new multiverse villain named Kang (Jonathan Majors).
The sequel would be the first time that fans would get to the Quantum Realm, which has largely remained a mysterious part of the MCU known only to the likes of Janet Van Dyne aka the original Wasp (Michelle Pfeiffer). But now it looks like the third installment of the “Ant-Man and The Wasp” franchise is a family affair as the Langs, the Dynes, and Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) are drawn into the Quantum Realm. There they must face off against strange creatures, make new allies, and face off against Kang, who isn’t the same as He Who Remains but has experience in killing a different Ant-Man from a different universe.
Based on the trailer, Kang feels that he and Scott are kindered spirits, two beings who lost time with their loved ones. Though we don’t know how this happened to Kang, we know that Scott spent five years being imprisoned in the Quantum Realm. As such, the multiverse villain makes him an offer that he cannot refuse. Of course, that is just Kang taking advantage of Scott’s anguish so that he can further his own goals. What’s more, Scott’s decision could have an effect on the greater MCU.
Of course, since “Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania” is a part of the Multiverse Saga, it has a certain role to play as we head towards “Avengers: The Kang Dynasty.” It should be interesting to see what kind of an impact the film will have on future MCU films and if this Kang will survive to face off against the Avengers.
“Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania” also stars Randall Park, who returns to play as Agent Jimmy Woo. Bill Murray also stars as a character that has yet to be confirmed.
Director Peyton Reed returns to direct the film, using a script written by Jeff Loveness. The film is set to hit theaters on February 17, 2023.

In the film, which officially kicks off phase 5 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Super-Hero partners Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) and Hope Van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly) return to continue their adventures as Ant-Man and the Wasp. Together, with Hope’s parents Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) and Janet Van Dyne (Michelle Pfeiffer), the family finds themselves exploring the Quantum Realm, interacting with strange new creatures and embarking on an adventure that will push them beyond the limits of what they thought was possible. Jonathan Majors joins the adventure as Kang.
