As Warner Bros. preps for the release of “Space Jam: A New Legacy” later this summer, fans can get reacquainted with the world of Basketball and Looney Tunes with the remastered version of the original 1994 “Space Jam” starring the great Michael Jordan and a some of Looney Tunes’ most iconic cartoon characters like Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, and Lola Bunny.
Here’s the official plot synopsis:
The world’s greatest legends collide in a future universe with Jordan as a live-action hero entering a spectacular animated world. Captured by Bugs Bunny to foil a ghastly gang of space creatures, Jordan must play the basketball game of his life to save the beloved cartoon heroes from a hideous kidnapping scheme.
The idea that one of the greatest basketball players in history would be teaming up with WB’s most iconic cartoon characters sounds wild. But somehow, it worked and has earned its status as a cult classic film. 25 years later, the studio decided to finally go through with the long-awaited sequel, “Space Jam: A New Legacy,” starring Lebron James.
As such, the original “Space Jam” is the perfect film to introduce to the younger generation to a Michael Jordan trying acting before they see “Space Jam: A New Legacy” with Lebron James, who has a bit more experience in the field.
The remastered “Space Jam” showcases 4K resolution with High Dynamic Range (HDR) and a wider color spectrum, offering consumers brighter, deeper, more lifelike colors for a home entertainment viewing experience like never before.
