Tips On What To Do At Disneyland This Holiday Season

What happens when you combine Disneyland with holiday festivities? Disney magic that you will cherish forever! Personally, the holidays aren’t the same for my family without a visit to Disneyland. We love all the fabulous holiday celebrations, from the beautiful decorations and transformed rides to the special holiday foods and treats.

3. “Believe…in Holiday Magic” fireworks spectacular is not to be missed! In my opinion, Disneyland hosts the best fireworks displays EVER, so schedule this in for a display of color as well as a snow fall during the finale! Tip: Main Street gets pretty busy and is optimal viewing but I’ve watched fireworks near Finding Nemo/Matterhorn. It’s not as busy and it’s a great viewing spot!

4. Sleeping Beauty’s Winter Castle is dazzling by day or night! Find a Disneyland photographer for a photo in front of the castle, and strike a pose. Make sure to grab a photo pass from the photographers, and order your favorites shots from home. What I really love is that the photographers are willing to take photos with your camera as well. Take photos of the castle from all angles! It’s beautiful from every direction.

5. The Festival of Holidays happens at Disney California Adventure with a variety of yummy foods, drinks and more. There feels like an endless selection of delicious options. Here’s more about the Festival here.

6. Get your Fast Pass for the World of Color – Season of Light. Music, Disney moments, colorful explosions of fire along will light up the sky and get you in the holiday spirit with your family and friends. Tip: waiting in line can be challenging especially for little ones. Download the Disney app and play a fun Wheel Challenge game (think Simon) and match the colors of the Mickey wheel to your phone! World of Color happens at 9pm and 10:15pm.

7. Other DCA entertainment “must sees” include a visit to Santa at the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail, watching Mariachi Divas perform, and attending the tree lighting on Buena Vista Street. If you haven’t made up your mind about what to eat, try my favorite, the turkey pot pie in a bread bowl from Pacific Pier. It’s delicious, and warms you up on a cool SoCal night!

8. Still have the energy to see more? Catch a glimpse at the Windows along Main Street! My daughter loved seeing the artistry and designs in their displays. She also loves watching the candy makers create their sugary masterpieces. Each visit we also make time for Jungle Cruise, and Haunted Mansion which are transformed for the holidays.
