Did you know that Knott’s Berry Farm has a hotel on site? That’s right, you can start planning your next Southern California staycation and experience comfortable accommodations, thrilling rides and water play during a Knott’s getaway. We were invited to stay and play and I’m glad we did. I was exhausted from all of the fun! What was the highlight of our staycation? The bedtime tuck-in at the hotel from the top dog himself, Snoopy!
Stay at Knott’s Berry Farm Hotel
Knott’s Berry Farm Hotel offers 320 deluxe rooms with a Camp SNOOPY themed wing. The hotel features an outdoor pool, splash zone area, fitness center, onsite restaurant and much more! Parents can relax in the jacuzzi while the kids play in the splash zone adjacent to the pool which is open until
Our deluxe room had two double beds, a coffee maker, ironing board, blow dryer and cable TV. The room didn’t have too many frills, but it was clean and the beds were firm. A special exclusive treat for guests in the SNOOPY rooms is the tuck in service. Snoopy visits between 8 and 8:30 and let me tell you my daughter was counting down the minutes! The were was a knock on the door, my daughter flung it open and there he was. Snoopy was dressed in his PJs and nightcap! Ok, I expected cute, but this was one of the cutest things ever!! My daughter has been talking about it for days. Snoopy tucked her in, fluffed up her pillows and gave her a *smack* on her forehead! CUTENESS OVERLOAD!
The next morning we spotted Snoopy in the lobby posing for photos, giving high fives and hugs. Don’t forget to fuel up before you start your day. The restaurant Amber Waves is located off the lobby and is available for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Both parks are only a 4-5 minute walk from the hotel. The hotel also offers a shuttle if you’re venturing out to nearby Disneyland.
Play at Knott’s Soak City
Soak City Buena Park is officially open for the summer and it’s the place to be to beat the heat. We christened the park by being one of the few to enter prior to park opening. As a parent our #1 concern is safety especially at a water park. Knott’s Soak City tries to ease this concern by staffing a huge number of lifeguards to keep an eye on you and your family. Seriously, you won’t get far without bumping into a life guard. Life jackets are on hand for children as an extra security measure. So, lather on that sunblock and have fun! My daughter loves Tidal Wave bay and she actually braved the Pacific Spin (yes that 132-food long tunnel that drops you into a massive funnel!).
Gremmie Lagoon is the perfect playground for toddlers and infants while the lazy river is the place you will find me. We laughed, splashed, ate churros and laughed some more. Thankfully we had reserved cabanas which gave us the shade we needed and a place to store our belongings, you might want to consider renting one for the day!
Play at Knott’s Berry Farm
Ready for another day of fun? Head over to Knott’s Berry Farm for some old fashioned theme park fun. Knott’s has some of the best coasters in the country, exciting family attractions and funnel cake! We usually spend a good part of the day in Camp Snoopy but my daughter is almost seven and she’s enjoying the rides in the Boardwalk section and has even been on the renovated Timber Mountain Log Ride. I enjoy walking through Calico Ghost Town, seeing the old-time buildings, while browsing the shops filled with creations from local artisans. Knott’s Berry Farm has something for everyone and they’re not done- Camp Snoopy is getting a face lift.
