This week’s Monday’s Menu comes from my beautiful friend Johanna of http://mommacuisine.com! I’m not the best cook so I always look for easy yet delicious recipes to make at home. I can always count on Johanna to come up with yummy recipes that use simple ingredients and basic cooking techniques.
Look at this Asian Style Pork Roast! Who knew that cooking something like this could be this fun and easy! – Tee
Like many busy mommas, I adore my slow cooker. I plop the ingredients in the pot, turn it on and go about my day.
At dinnertime, as if I was slaving away all day, a fabulous dinner is served!
This recipe for Asian Style Pork Roast takes a four and half pound roast and lets it cook in the slow cooker with soy sauce, beer, some aromatics, brown sugar, a little bit of sesame oil. Let it cook slowly for several hours and you’ve got yourself an amazing Asian-style dish.
At the end of the cooking time, sprinkle in some chopped chives or scallions for garnish and serve over a bed of fluffy white Jasmine rice, or your favorite Asian noodles. – Joanna
This recipe is best started over night for the next day or in the morning, just in time for dinnertime.
