Review IT: Awesome Adventures and Timmy Time

I’ve been feeling sorry for my boys lately.  We’re in the middle of a huge life change, a move, and selling our house.  The majority of their toys are packed away and I’ve been a little stingy in getting them out.  It took 6 days to get our house into tip-top condition and I know my boys will get it right back to where it was in about 2.7 seconds if I let them.  We’ve spent our time doing things outside, taking one toy out at a time, and watching movies.

We were able to preview two videos (they couldn’t have come at a better time!) and the boys loved them!  Awesome Adventures:  Rescue Friends features a few of my boys’ favorites, Thomas & Friends, Fireman Sam, and Bob the Builder.  Timmy Time:  Timmy Finds Treasure features loveable Timmy and his animal friends.  The boys enjoyed watching both of these and rate them with two thumbs up!

Awesome Adventures:  Rescue Friends includes six action-packed episodes, with common themes of courage, heart, selflessness, and helping your friends.  The episodes on this disk are:

Both of these videos are geared at the preschool audience, ages 2-5.  My boys, being 2 ½ and almost 5, enjoyed them a lot.  I love that the videos are cute, colorful, entertaining, and have great lessons in them.  Teamwork, friendship, and helping others are always a great thing to reinforce in our household, and I’m sure that goes for others as well!
