Juicy Juice asked how my family keep things fun this summer. It’s definitely creating our own frozen treats! Popsicles are the epitome of summer as a perfect way to cool down on a hot day. I have fond memories of running through sprinklers, and then enjoying popsicles with my brother and mom during our summer breaks. I’ve continued that tradition with my daughter but instead of store bought, we love to create homemade popsicles and other frozen treats. It’s super easy, simple and fun to do together. Plus, I like that we can control what goes into our frozen treats.
Here are some ideas to get your popsicle on!
Juicy Juice popsicles:
This takes three steps- 1) use your favorite Juicy Juice flavor then 2) pour it into a popsicle mold, 3) freeze! Viola! You should have tasty popsicles within 4-5 hours. Prepare the night before for sweet treats the next day.
I used two Juicy Juice flavors- strawberry/watermelon and grape. Pour your first flavor into the mold and freeze for about an hour before pouring the second. This is a good time to place the stick into the popsicle.

Snowcones!
Blend ice cubes in your food processor/blender. Once crushed, I used an ice cream scoop to create a ball effect, place into a cup, then pour your juice flavors over the ice. We used cute cups (I couldn’t find cone-shaped cups) and colorful spoons. Enjoy a refreshing, crunchy icy treat. Take your snowcone to the next level with condensed milk, Mochi or fruit.
Fruity Ice Cubes!
The Juicy Juice site also inspired me to create fruit ice cubes! Cut up pieces of your favorite fruit, place into a ice cube tray and pour Juicy Juice over the fruit. Place the tray into the freezer and once hardened (it took a couple of hours), use them in a cool glass of water. The fruit will enhance your drink and add flavor. Then gobble up the fruit once the ice has melted.
