Get ready for some of your favorite Marvel characters from the Marvel Studios series streaming on Disney+ and the MCU movies to hit the toy shelves. Some have already appeared on retailer shelves, while others will be arriving within the next month or two.
LEGO Marvel The Avengers Advent Calendar. This set has 298 pieces spread across 24 individual boxes that represent the first 24 days of December. Each box holds the pieces to build 7 minifigures or items unique to this set.
Some of the buildable items include: Iron Man in an ugly sweater, Thor with a bright red scarf, Spider-Man with a big mug of hot cocoa, Black Widow with marshmallows on a stick, mini versions of Avengers Tower, a Quinjet, a Hellicarrier, Hall of Armor, the Infinity Gauntlet, a tree, table and firepit.
Available 9/1/21 and will retail for $39.99. This can be found on the LEGO website here.
LEGO Marvel Studios Minifigures. This might be the first time these figures have been sold in blind bag form. Some of your favorite characters from the Disney+ series WandaVision, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Loki and What If…? appear in this collection of 12 minifigures.
WandaVision:
Scarlet Witch
Spectral Vision (White Vision)
Monica Rambeau (Spectrum)
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier:
Captain America (Sam Wilson)
Winter Soldier (Bucky Barnes)
Loki:
Loki with Throg (Thor Frog)
Sylvie with Alligator Loki
What If…?:
Captain Carter
Star-Lord T’Challa
Zombie Hunter Spider-Man
Zombie Captain America
Blade of Thanos Gamora
Too bad there is no Pietro Maximoff (Quicksilver), Agatha Harkness and Miss Minutes in this collection. Can’t wait to get a Throg figure and the Alligator Loki seems plain without the helmet. Figures will retail for $4.99 each blind bag.
Hasbro has two waves based on the Marvel Studios Disney+ shows being released under their Marvel Legends figure line. The first wave of figures are from WandaVision, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and Loki. This features the Build-A-Figure for Captain America Sam Wilson’s wings. So if you want the complete Captain America Sam Wilson figure, you will need to get all the figures in this wave. These figures should be out now, but due to popularity, may be difficult to find in some stores. However, I did see one or two of them at a Gamestop. Figures retail for $22.99.
Scarlet Witch
Vision (Spectral Vision)
Captain America (Sam Wilson)
Winter Soldier (Bucky Barnes)
Baron Zemo
Loki (Variant Loki)
Target has the Mobius M. Mobius Marvel Legends figure as an exclusive scheduled to be released in October and retail for $22.99.
This second wave of figures are based on the What If…? Show, except for one, that has just started to air on Disney+. The Build-A-Figure for this wave is The Watcher. These figures are scheduled to be released Fall 2021 and retail for $22.99.
Captain Carter
T’Challa Star-Lord
Zombie Captain America
Zombie Hunter Spidey
Doctor Strange Supreme
Heist Nebula
Sylvie
The Watcher build-a figure
Look for the deluxe size Hydra Stomper figure to be released around the same time as the What If…? Wave and retail for $49.99. The Captain Carter figure would not be complete without it, but it would have been nice to have a skinny Steve Rogers figure included.
There are six figures in the Shang-Chi movie wave. Only four of them are characters from the movie, while the other two figures are from the Contest of Champions mobile game and Iron Man comic. The Build-A-Figure for this wave is the comic version of the villain Mr. Hyde. These figures have been in stores for a couple of months now, as they were released before the movie and retail for $22.99.
Shang-Chi
Wenwu
Xialing
Death Dealer
Civil Warrior – Contest of Champions (Gamerverse)
Iron Man Tony Stark (A.I.)
There is one Shang-Chi Marvel Legends figure that is exclusive to Target, which is Awkafina’s character, Katy. She is dressed in a Chinese-inspired outfit, with bow & arrow accessory, and a faceless winged creature named Morris. Retails for $22.99, but I recently saw the figure in Target on clearance at a reduced price.
One of the tallest and most articulated Marvel Legends figures is in the last few days of funding on Hasbro Pulse. Galactus is a HasLabs project that stands at 32” tall with LED lights in the head and chest. Over 300+ pieces and 70+ points of articulation. There are 20 points of articulation in each hand alone. Three swappable face-plate accessories are also included. Plus a digital comic bundle of classic Fantastic Four issues #48-50, featuring the first appearance of Galactus.
The project must be backed by 14,000 backers, at a cost of $399.99 each figure, before it is fully funded. There are some stretch goals to this project. The first of them is a Frankie Raye (Nova) figure that will be unlocked at 16,000 backers and there might be one other stretch goal figure that could be unlocked later.
This Galactus figure would look so good with the Retro Marvel Legends Fantastic Four Collection figures that were just recently announced. There are only a few days remaining to fund the project, which you can view here.
Lastly, the final trailer for Marvel’s Eternals movie was released this week and so were a few of the toys that will accompany the movie. Funko will have Pops of Ikaris, Thena, Sersi, Ajak, Makkari, Phastos, Kingo, Gilgamesh, Sprite, Druig, Kro, Dane Whitman, a Deviant and a super-sized Celestial Arishem. Look for a few of them to have special exclusives, Pop pencil toppers, keychains and Mystery Minis.
Entertainment Earth will have exclusive Eternals Pops that will contain a collectible card. Pre-orders are up on their site here.
One of the LEGO sets that will be available is the Rise of the Domo, which must be the Eternal’s triangular spacecraft that is shown in the trailer. There are at least three other LEGO sets to be released in conjunction with the movie: In Arishem’s Shadow, Deviant Ambush! and Eternal’s Aerial Assault.
There will be seven figures of the main characters in the Eternals Marvel Legends wave, with the Build-A-Figure being Gilgamesh. The Marvel Legends figure of the Deviant Kro will be in the larger deluxe packaging.
For more information on upcoming figure releases or to pre-order, go to HasbroPulse.com, LEGO.com or an online retailer.
