“Sid the Science Kid: The Movie” on DVD and on PBS Kids! #giveaway

Our favorite young preschool explorer, Sid The Science Kid is in his first feature film! NCircle Entertainmemt is releasing “Sid the Science Kid: The Movie” on DVD and on iTunes on April 2 ($12.99). PBS Kids viewers will be treated with the broadcast premiere on March 25th along with encore performances on March 29 and March 31! SoCal residents tune into KOCE @PBSSoCaL. My daughter and I recently screened the film in Hollywood and we loved it!

Sid and his friend Gabriela enter a science contest and they win the “Junior Explorer” division with their witty experiment! Not only do they receive this notable title but they get a sneak peak of The Super Ultimate Science Museum. Sid and Gabriela meet “future scientist” winners Yanguang and Niuniu from China. Sid seems intimidated by the older kid’s knowledge of science and starts doubting himself. The four winners also meet scientist Dr. Bonabodon who is voiced by Christopher Lloyd. How cool! Lloyd is the scientist from Back to the Future films! Dr. Bonabodon’s prized creation, Bobbybot is his super robot and designed to give tours of the museum along with other robots.

Bobbybot guides the four budding scientists around the museum but he short- circuits along the way. Chaos ensues within the museum with dancing dinosaurs, mooing honey bees and a missing Bobbybot! The four children realize that they have to  pull together as a team and combine their ideas to  to save the day!

The movie is adorable and full of discoveries and fun jokes! My daughter is five-years-old and she loves Sid. She also loves to tell jokes and Sid’s humor is right up her alley. As a parent, I appreciate the age appropriate content, educational but yet fun story line and adorable characters. Preschoolers and children can extend their explorations with Sid by visiting him at pbskids.org/sid.
