You haven’t heard Gold Digger until you’ve heard it with Glockenspiels. Rockabye Baby has taken on their first hip-hop album with Lullaby Renditions of Kanye West. The blend of harps, bells and glockenspiels is soothing to my 4 month old. While he may be too young to pick a favorite, I had the most fun picking him up and dancing with him to “Love Lockdown”. Not quite the club mix I’m used to, but I had great time nonetheless. I am a fan of many styles of music, and like that Rockabye Baby has put out a CD featuring a hip-hop artist. And, yes, I do sing along when it’s playing. But having a toddler at home, too, I definitely keep the lyrics G-Rated.
With 12 Grammy awards and three #1 albums his music demonstrates a broad and timeless appeal. They affectionately refer to this album as their first “rap-a-bye baby”. Tracks included on this CD are:
- Good Morning
- Gold Digger
- Stronger
- Good Life
- Heartless
- Touch the Sky
- Jesus Walks
- All Falls Down
- Love Lockdown
- Through the Wire
- Hey Mama
- Homecoming
