I can fondly remember hours of playing with Barbie dolls with my next door neighbor. We used everything from laundry baskets to soup pots to create swimming pools, campers and our own version of dream houses. So I jumped at the chance to introduce my very imaginative little girl to a new series of dolls called Liv manufactured by Spin Master Toys. Our new Alexis doll is one of five characters in the Outdoor Fashion Doll series.
Each doll has a backstory (a la American Girl) and accessories to support her individual personality and hobbies. Alexis loves clothing and is a budding fashion designer. According to the box, at first reluctant to join the outdoor adventure with her friends, Alexis’ found her new fashion muse in nature. She also comes with a secret access code that allows you to enter the Liv world online at LivWorld.com website. Although my daughter is a bit young to
At 8 x 2.5 x 13 inches, the Alexis doll is a bit bigger than a Barbie doll. My daughter enjoyed the change of pace from her large baby dolls. Alexis has a fully articulated body that moves in 14 places–from the neck and shoulders down to the wrists and ankles. Although the recommended age is five, my four-year- old could dress and pose her easily. The doll’s hair is woven onto a flexible cap that secures with the aid of a built-in peg, so removing and replacing the wig is simple. (You can switch out wigs, clothes, earrings, purses, pets, and more by collecting other Liv dolls or Liv doll fashion sets.)
Amazon.com currently has the Alexis style of Liv doll on sale for $14.99. In the box there is one Alexis doll, one fashion set, a portfolio with papers, three pencils, purse, two sticker sheets, pair of earrings, T-shirt, hair brush, Web code, and wig instruction guide.
Check out the manufacturers’ site at www.spinmaster.com for other retailers that carry the Liv Series of dolls, as well as a wide variety of their other toys and games, including Zoobles, Pop-on-Pals, Moon Dough, Hawk Eye Helicopters and Aqua Doodles.

those are cute dolls, not as hoochie as other ones out there
I love this doll! I’ll have to look into it for my daughter!
So these dolls have wigs? That is SO cool, I would have loved that when I was little!
