Review: Lamaze Learn to Dress Farmer Fred Activity Doll

 I’ve been a big fan of Lamaze toys since my daughter (now 4 years old) was born. I tended to purchase their line suitable for infants (I still remember when my daughter was “nursing” on her Jacques the Peacock’s beak when she was an infant!) I was pleased to recently have the opportunity to review the Learn to Dress Farmer Fred Activity Doll, suitable for the toddler set.

Farmer Fred features a plush body with lots of fine motor activities to keep your tots busy. I found we tended to keep this in our car, as my little guy (21 months old) tends to be more into cars and other things that go when we’re at home. However, in the car, he has been kept very busy with the zipper, buckle, Velcro and button on his new toy.

The shoelace is a bit advanced for him at this stage as is putting the buckle back on (although, he is a Master at undoing it!). I love that everything is sturdily attached, and it is holding up very well to Brendan’s aggressive play. The button is still secure, which is the one piece I was worried would fail! The clothes and hat do not come off, so you don’t have to worry about losing any of the pieces. I love that it keeps him occupied in the car and think it’s pretty cute, too!
