When you’re shopping for fun back to school products, don’t forget the details! I recently came across Hopscotch Kids, a nailpolish company specializing in products for our little ones. They sent over three colors:Ice Cream Soda Pop Cherry on Top Pink, Say Say Oh Playmate Purple, and Ink A Bink A Bottle of Ink Blue.
My girlie girl loves to get her nails painted. I was very excited to learn that this line of nail polish lacks that horrible nail polish smell that we’re used to using. It makes a fun night of nail painting with Kieran all the more enjoyable! And, we love saying the names of each color…like a little tongue twister on each bottle!
Hopscotch Kids says the polish dries to the touch in three minutes. I actually put that to the test-I set my stopwatch and ours was actually dry in just under 2 minutes! Ink A Bink A Bottle of Ink Blue has been her favorite of the three we tested out. She says she likes that it is “a little shiny”. I do think the blue has the best coverage of the three we tried out. The mani/pedi lasted for about 3 days before chipping set-in (or should I say, Kieran decided to peel it off). So the actual time it lasts on your child may vary considerably!
Hopscotch Kids Watercolors nail polishes are safe and contain only three ingredients: water, acrylic polymer and non-toxic colorants. The polishes are eco-friendly, hypoallergenic, frangrance free and biodegradable. Their revolutionary technology provides a high gloss and salon quality. There is no need for a base coat or top coat, so you are done in one, easy step! They have also created a non-toxic conditioning remover that removes polish easily without stripping or dying. I didn’t review this product, but it looks like a great alternative to traditional nail polish removers.
The cost of the bottles are in-line with other Salon-quality nail polishes. They have 11 great colors-all sure to be loved by your daughter and her new friends at school.
Hopscotch Kids was founded in 2009 by Phoenix mom Ginny Cardenas. After continued frustration with the amount of toxins in cosmetics marketed to children, Ginny set out to create the safest, most playful cosmetic line for kids on the market. It was from that desire that Hopscotch Kids was born.
BUY IT: Bottles can be purchased individually for $12.99 on their website and at Ricky’s NYC. Plus get free shipping on all orders over $35! If you prefer to go into a store, you find a complete list here.

Hooray! I’m headed down to Rickys to pick up a bottle for back to school! I really worry about the chemicals in nail polish, especially since the little ones still do chew on their nails or simply place them in their mouths.
this will be great for those who are scent sensitive. great fun colors too.
I have been looking into nail polishes for my daughter. This is great!
Its great for kids to be able to have fun safely. Hopscotch Kids offer so many bright and funky colours for girls of all ages. I love them!
