Summer is here, and on any given day of the week, you’ll find my kids running around outside for as long as they can last. Once they come in to chill out, it’s the perfect chance to have them rehydrate with an ice pop. The new Fruttare Bars have a fantastic assortment of flavors with their two distinct treats. Four flavors feature a “+Milk” option that are more like a cross between an ice pop and an ice cream cone, and my girls raved about the Strawberry and Milk bars. I really liked the Banana and Milk bars myself, and look forward to trying the Coconut and Milk bars as well. The traditional ice pops come in Strawberry, Mango, Orange and Lime. I have to say, they Lime was fabulous – just the right amount of pucker for my taste! The Mango was a refreshing change in flavor from the usual options at the grocery store.
As far as the ingredients, they do have a few more listed on the box than several options out there, but the chucks of fruit within the bars are a definite step in the right directions for better options for kids (and adults!). I like that the Fruit+Milk bars are made with skim milk, and that the fruits are always one of the first ingredients, too.
When you’re looking for a quick cool-down for your kids, Fruttare has some fantastic options, that’ll keep everyone happy as they try to beat the heat!

You should try Chunks O’ Fruti bars if you’re concerned about what’s in Fruttare. Chunks O’ Fruti have fruit as the first ingredient and no weird additives that Fruttare has. You can read their ingredients on their website. They’re available at Sam’s Clubs, Florida and Puerto Rico Walmarts and Market Basket in the northeast.
