Combine a famous tale and garden gnomes and you’ll wind up with a family-fun adventured called Gnomeo and Juliet!
Garden gnomes come to life in this cute animated movie! The two rival backyard families, known as the Reds and the Blues, are at constant odds with each other and look for any opportunity to sabotage eaxch others garden. The animation is bright and the actors voices are fitting. I didn’t recognize many of the voices in the movie except for Michael Caine. Fawn’s voice actor is Ozzy Osbourne! I would never have guessed. This is a G rated film that is perfect for my soon to be four year old daughter . The families quarrel so there are fight scenes that involve lawn movers and accidents along the way. Remember the characters are ceramic!
I loved how the characters “clinked” and were so delicate (watch out for that curb!). My favorite character is Juliet’s best friend Nanette. She’s an over the top Frog Garden Spitter that is supportive of Juliet. My daughter’s (predicable) favorite is Juliette.
This Touchstone film is entertaining for the entire family and Elton John fans will love the soundtrack. Gnomeo and Juliet is a delightful addition to my movie collection and is a fun twist to an classic story. – Tee

This was such a cute movie! I took my 5 year old son to see this in the theater and he loved it! I would definitely recommend to anyone with young children. Very sweet and entertaining movie. =)
