Get in the Halloween mood at Queen Mary’s Dark Harbor! The Queen Mary made for a spooky backdrop and three out of the six mazes are inside the boat. I attended with a friend of mine and what a thrilling mom’s night out it was! I haven’t been that scared in a long time. We walked through six scary mazes, trying to avoid monsters and the unknown lurking in the darkness! Dark Harbor is also a fun setting for a date night, snuggling seems to make Dark Harbor less scary…
The six mazes are Circus, Village, Deadrise, Containment, Hellfire and Submerged. New to Dark Harbor is the Circus maze! Step into the big top for some horrifying freak show fun. The last two bins to the left are the scariest. I don’t want to spoil any of the suspense for anyone but fog and darkness can really mess with your senses. Heather and I actually ran away from the white ghost looking for a way out! We were disoriented and freaked out!
Our “favorite” mazes out of the six are definitely ‘Hellfire’ and ‘Submerged’. The actors are awesome and look realistic especially when you are walking through a dark narrow hallway through a “haunted” route on the ship! I still get the chills.
We were impressed by the monster’s “Walking Dead” quality make up and costumes! Beware they are walking amongst you and could be standing behind you at any given moment!
Eat, drink, enjoy bands and ride the zip line because running from monsters isn’t enough of an adrenaline rush for you!
Queen Mary’s Dark harbor runs select nights through November 2nd. Get there early as the lines get long or invest in the Fast Fright pass! Our wait times were minimal with these passes! I highly recommend it.
