Amazon MGM Studios has released the newest trailer for the Prarthana Mohan-directed romantic comedy “Picture This.” The film stars Simone Ashley (Bridgerton) as Pia, a photographer who is focused on her career instead of finding gets who receives a prediction from a fortune teller at a wedding. The fortune teller says Pia will find love in five dates. With her sister’s wedding looming and family playing matchmaker, her ex (Hero Fiennes Tiffin) reappears, throwing both her love and professional life into chaos.
While her family and friends acknowledge that Pia is doing remarkable things with her life, a guarded and very independent Pia learns taking photos as a career made her realize the kind of life that she wants to have. Sure it’s cheesy, but it has all the makings of a feel-good watch. Not only that, but the romantic comedy is also viewed through a British-Indian lens. So the question is, will Pia find true love in the dates that her friends and family set up or will she reconnect with her ex?
The film also stars Sindhu Vee, Luke Fetherston, Nikesh Patel, Adil Ray, Anoushka Chadha, and Phil Dunster.
