Hello Kitty fans, you have to check out the special edition Lomography Fisheye 35mm Camera! This blue and white camera is totally cute, compact and takes me back days of developing film! I miss the anticipation!
I have to admit that it’s been awhile since I’ve manually loaded a 35mm camera with film. I’m not sure if it was the camera or me but I had trouble loading the film into the camera. It took me two rolls of film to finally get the camera ready to go.
This camera is lightweight, takes 2 AA batteries (not included), has a carry strap and a lens cover which is attached to the camera. The camera also is equipped with a flash.
Seeing the lens through the viewfinder was a little distracting, especially since I couldn’t really gauge what was in the viewable area (the lens doesn’t appear in pictures). I personally think this camera works best for closer subjects. That’s when you get a true fish-eye look. I took some interior shots and the pictures had a dark vintage style. Pretty cool.
The camera costs $60, which I’m sure Hello Kitty collectors won’t mind paying. According to Sanrio.com the Lomography Fish-eye 35mm Camera is one of their best sellers.
The Hello Kitty Fish-eye camera has a 170-degree fish-eye view and is definitely an adorable little camera to experiment with. We had a lot fun taking the pictures and then waiting for the results.
The camera can be purchased on www.sanrio.com.
