October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and Panera Bread bakery-cafes in Southern California will be baking warm, freshly baked pink ribbon bagels.
On October 10th, 100 percent of Panera pink ribbon bagel sales from participating Southern California Panera bakeries will be donated to the Dr. Susan Love Research Foundation.
The idea culminated when one of Panera’s own was diagnosed with best cancer in 2001. Check out your local participating stores to find pink ribbon bagels
About the Foundation:
Dr. Susan Love Research Foundation is dedicated to achieving a future without breast cancer by engaging the public and the scientific communities in innovative research on cause and prevention. They do this through performing and facilitating innovative and collaborative research, translating science to engage the public as informed partners and inspiring novel research.
The goal of the Dr. Susan Love Research Foundation is to identify the barriers to research and to then create new solutions. More than $4 billion dollars has been spent on breast cancer research in the United States. Yet we still do not know what causes breast cancer or how to prevent it. At the Dr. Susan Love Research Foundation, they believe that to eradicate breast cancer we need to begin where breast cancer begins—in the breast ducts. The Foundation is engaging in an extraordinary opportunity to focus research on the breast ducts and understand how the breast works.
