“It’s time to get things started…” Those words are pure magic for me! They are symbolic, nostalgic, and instantly packed with all the childhood feels. And now, The Muppet Show is back for a sensational, inspirational, celebrational, Muppetational special event premiering February 4!

Kermit the Frog and the one and only Miss Piggy return alongside guest stars Sabrina Carpenter and Maya Rudolph, with Seth Rogen serving as executive producer and guest star. Yes, please!
I’ve already watched the trailer three times, and I love everything about it—the silliness, the chaos, and the fact that the entire ensemble is back. Miss Piggy is as gloriously sassy as ever, while Kermit remains the earnest, straight-man anchor holding it all together. Some things never change, and honestly? Thank goodness.
While I would love this to turn into a weekly series, I’ll happily take this special event for now. The Muppets are being performed by an incredible group of veteran puppeteers: Bill Barretta, Dave Goelz, Eric Jacobson, Peter Linz, David Rudman (yes—he’s also Cookie Monster!), and Matt Vogel. Seeing these beloved characters brought to life by the performers who know them best makes this return feel even more special.
The Muppets are back! Definitely a “Rainbow Connection” moment which by the way was my wedding song.
