I was trying to come up with a cute but easy treat for my preschooler to bring to school for her Valentine’s Day Party. Rice Krispie Treats are about as easy as it gets! Use a heart shaped cookie cutter, a stick and you have the perfect snack!
Ingredients:
- 6 cups rice krispies
- one bag mini marshmallows
- 3 tablespoons butter
- heart sprinkles
- red and pink sprinkles
- candy melts or white chocolate chips
Spray non stick spray on the bottom of a 9×13 dish. Prepare Rice Krispie treats using the traditional cereal recipe. Melt 3 tablespoons butter and add bag (10oz) of mini marshmallows to the melted butter. Stir until fully melted and remove from heat. Stir in 6 cups of Rice Krispies. Using a buttered spatula spread into the dish. Wait until cooled a bit and cut out with heart shaped cookie cutter. Add a lollipop stick and dip the Rice Krispies into melted candy melts or chocolate. Then dip in sprinkles. Individually wrap each in a clear bag and tie with a heart ribbon. Simple and cute! Happy Valentine’s Day!

I made these before but they completely fell apart. Maybe I didn’t let them cool long enough? Maybe I’ll try them again.
These are so cute! I love that they have white chocolate chips in them. What a fun little treat! Thanks for sharing this.
You do need to let them cool a bit and be careful when you dip them that they don’t melt. The nice thing is that is they are so pliable you can easily sculpt them back into shape! ~Erika
