I love shopping but I really don’t love malls. I would much rather be outside while I walk from store to store. That is why I jumped at the chance to join Robin (massholemommy.com) at the Sip and Shop event at Linden Square in Wellesley Massachusetts.
Linden Square is a 250,000-square-foot shopping dining and lifestyle destination located 10 miles outside of Boston in Wellesley. You can shop, eat, workout out or run everyday errands(supermarket, bank) at this unique location. We met up at Starbucks and discussed our shopping strategy for the evening. The Sip and Shop Event donated a percentage of all sales from the night to Wellesley Hills Junior Women’s Club. There were a couple of kids stores that we all wanted to check out. First stop, Divine Kitchens an award winning design/build firm that offers unique products and services to those remodeling kitchens, bath, home office or other rooms. Walking in the door the smell of fresh baked cookies and hot apple cider wafted from one of the design kitchens. There was food platters set up and complimentary beverages being served. Cabot cheese was also on board offering samples 🙂 The design kitchens were amazing. I picked out my favorite design and dreamed about how great it would be to have one of these kitchens. Not sure it is in our budget this year but it is nice to dream. The Wellesley College Choir was also on hand and they sang a great Glee medley for us. They were super talented and looked great in their red and black coordinated outfits.
We then headed over to check out Kenzie Kids/KGirl infant to tween boutique with a large selection of American and European Designer clothes, shoes and gifts. The clothes were gorgeous all though the price tags were typical boutique prices. There were cute Patagonia coats that I would definitely spend the money on for Adeline but the Armani kids coat, although adorable, the $325 price tag was a little steep for me.
Next stop Magic Beans. A store that I have always wanted to visit since becoming pregnant with Adeline but just never got around to it. It is a locally owned toy and baby store with specialty baby gear. They keep up with the trends and sell all the most coveted baby products. Their stroller collection was impressive as was the rest of the baby gear. It always amazes me how much things change in only a couple of years on what is hot in baby items. There were so many new things that weren’t around when Adeline was little that I almost want to have another baby just to use some of the cool items. Almost. I also liked that there was a big fenced in play are in the back of t he store so you could shop while your little ones played. Good thinking Magic Beans.
My next and very favorite stop was next The National Jean Company. Upon entrance we were greeted by a very friendly staff and the owner, Steve Simon offering us some champagne. Of course I took him up on the offer it was a SIP and Shop event after all. I talked to Steve for awhile about the latest trends in denim. I was a jean junkie for awhile before I had my second child so I thoroughly enjoyed hearing all the newest names on the scene. All of the denim that he sells in his stores are made in USA and are the most trendiest styles and brands available. They specialize in denim but other clothing is available. All of the staff are denim experts are trained to help you pick out the most flattering denim for you. It is truly a great store I would have loved to have had it in my budget to drop $200 on a new pair if JBrand Jeans (Steve raved about them). Maybe next time…
I had a great night shopping and meeting new people. Linden Square is a great place to go for a day or night of shopping. You can find great unique holiday gifts and maybe even treat yourself to a little pampering at Bella Sante’ Day Spa or Salon Maleah.

What a fun night! Magic Beans sounds like a nice shop. I’m going to visit their online store.
