I made these cute flip flops for my daughter and niece the other day. We had a pedicure party with our new OPI Pirates of the Caribbean Laquers. The girls showed off their newly painted toes in their flip flops.
What you need:
- Plain Flip-Flops (I used a pair from Michaels Craft store)
- ribbon (small enough to fit around the base depends on the shoe size)
- jewels
- clip on flowers
- any other embellishments you want to add
- super glue or glue gun
- scissors
Directions:
Measure the ribbon to fit around the base of the flip flop and then apply glue to the flip flop carefully apply the ribbon evenly around the entire base. Clip on the flower then glue rhinestones along the plastic. Super fun and original Flip Flops!

Such a cute idea! I have embellished flipflops with crochet, but I never thought about putting ribbon around the edge of the bottom! How clever! I love it!
Those are sooooo adorable! I really need to get to Michaels again… it’s been much too long!
