I always wait until the last minute to find a St. Patrick’s Day t-shirt for my daughter. I end up searching every store for something Irish or at the very least something green! Last year, I couldn’t find anything. Seriously! My two go-to’s Old Navy and Target had nothing! I searched Walmart, Kohls, Carters and Kmart. NOTHING. So I decided I would make a shirt. I headed to Michael’s Craft Store thinking I could pick up an iron on or maybe paint a tee. When I came across green bandannas I was hit with a total Martha Stewart moment! I decided to use different color green bandannas to make a shamrock t-shirt. I purchased 3 green bandannas in different shades of green, some fabric glue (ok Martha would sew it but hey it’s still crafty) and a solid color t-shirt. I then drew a heart shape on each bandanna (two the same size and one a bit larger). Then I drew stem (looks like a j). I cut out the shapes and glued them on the t-shirt in the shape of a shamrock! Voila! Here’s to the Irish!
Supplies:
- 3 green bandanna’s in different shades of green
- fabric glue
- scissors
- solid color t-shirt
Trace a heart on each bandanna (two the same size one a little larger). Trace a stem on any of the colored bandanna’s. Cut out the shapes, arrange in the shape of a shamrock and glue to the shirt!
