With Spring comes many occasions where you want to look your best. Graduations, Weddings, Mother’s Day and for our younger readers Proms are just a few occasions where you will most likely be using make-up. Spring is also is the time of year for a make-up bag overhaul. Time to get rid of old products and replace deeper winter colors with fun brighter Spring colors. As an esthetician I have used many brands and many types of products. This Spring all of my favorites can fit anyone’s budget!
Here are my spring make-up bag must haves.
Garnier Skin Renew Miracle Skin Perfector B.B. Cream: If you only purchase one beauty product this spring this should be it! Beauty Balm or Blemish Balm is fairly new to the US market all though it has been all the rage in Asian countries for a while. Many companies are adding B.B. to their lines and I have become a tad bit obsessed with it. I have read tons of reviews and sampled quite a few myself and Garnier is my favorite. It is an everything-in-one product that acts as a foundation, moisturizer, primer. It evens out skin tones while covering blemishes and at the same time it hydrates and soothes your skin while protecting it from the sun! Talk about multi-tasking! It truly makes your skin glow and offers enough coverage for any blemishes without feeling heavy. I use it everyday! I have had a ton of compliments on my skin lately.
Maybelline Great Lash Mascara in Clear: This Spring colored mascara is making a comeback. Not sure if you are ready for this trend! Try it out by making your own with clear mascara and eyeshadow. Scrape off some colored (bright) eyeshadow on to a tissue then roll your clear mascara coated wand through the powder. Tap off the excess and apply to your lashes for instant colored mascara. Rinse the brush and put it back in the container. You can try out all colors or if you decide just stick with the clear (Maybelline Great Lash is my favorite!)
Burts Bee’s Lip Shimmer Stick: I am not a lipstick person. I would use plain old Chapstick everyday but when I am looking for a more polished look I depend on Burt’s Bee’s Lip Shimmer in Rhubarb. It is lip balm but it gives my lips the best reddish-pink color. It is perfect for spring!
Maybelline Color Tattoo 24 Hour Cream Gel Shadow:This Spring COLOR is IN! And eyeshadow is the perfect way to add color to your look. I tend to be a bit of an eyeshadowaholic. Seriously, I love it and love experimenting with new looks and colors. One of the biggest disappointments is when you purchase an eyeshadow that looks so great in the container and you get it home and it’s blah. Maybelline Color Tattoo is anything but blah. The color on the palette is true to the color you see when applied. Also, the cream formula goes on easy and lasts for 24 hours! After spending all that time creating the perfect eye you want it to last and this shadow does!
