As a franchise, the Transformers have been a part of our lives for almost 40 years. From animation to comic books, and live-action films to CG cartoons, in some way shape or form, Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Megatron and the rest have helped shape generations of audiences young and old. Now it’s time for them to reshape a new generation of younger viewers. And that’s where the magic of Transformers: Earthspark comes in!
For the uninitiated, Transformers: Earthspark, which is now available to stream on Paramount +, and now available to purchase on DVD, tells the story of the Malto family, who live in the town of Witwicky. They end up coming across a group of Transformer allys called “Terrans” and must protect them against the shadowy forces of G.H.O.S.T – an organization hellbent on hunting down Autobots and Decepticons, and their evil leader Mandroid! The Terrans are led by everyone’s favorite yellow bot, Bumblebee. And in their adventures throughout the series, the Malto family and their bots encounter legends like Optimus Prime, Grimlock, Starscream, and Megatron to help them aid in the fight against Mandroid and G.H.O.S.T!
We were so fortunate at That’s It LA to chat with some of the cast and crew of Transformers: Earthspark last year, when the first half of season 1 hit DVD. Now, on the heels of the home entertainment release of Season 1: Part II, we find ourselves lucky to chat with two more cast members who have been instrumental in bringing to life two new characters to the Transformers legacy: Kat Khavari and Zeno Robinson. Together, Khavari and Robinson have helped bring to life two of the most adorable fan-favorite characters to ever grace the franchise: Twitch and Thrash!
Here’s what they had to say about this past season on Transformers: Earthspark!
It was a really brilliant experience getting to hear Khavari and Robinson talk about their experiences in voice over work. And really a treat for the kids hearing about how their new characters will be forever embedded into the legendary story of the Autobots and the Decepticons. Wherever the story of Transformers: Earthspark takes their characters, one thing is certain: the next generation of Transformers fans have a lot to look forward to!
Both Parts I and II of Transformers: Earthspark Season 1 are now available to own on DVD!
