You can still soak up the holiday spirit through Monday, January 6 at Universal Studios Hollywood! One of our highlights this season was stepping into Super Nintendo World’s Mushroom Kingdom, where the festive decorations truly bring the season to life. This is the first time the area was part of the holiday magic!
The heart of the celebration is the “Grinchmas”, where the joyful atmosphere of the Who-holiday festivities unfolds in the charming town of Who-ville, featuring bright decorations, engaging entertainment, and fun activities.
I dream of having a spectacular 65-foot Grinchmas tree in my home, but for now, we love visiting the one that stands proudly in Who-ville, decorated with countless colorful ornaments and thousands of twinkling LED lights. This quirky tree is a stunning centerpiece for the festivities, especially during the nightly tree-lighting ceremonies, complete with a magical snowfall.
You can meet the Grinch and his loyal dog Max, enjoy story time with Cindy-Lou Who as she shares “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” with guests of all ages, and stop by the Who-ville post office to mail a cheerful postcard with three good deeds. If you’re an annual passholder, you get the special perk of a meeting the Grinch at the Lower Lot Annual Pass Member meet and greet.! Just a heads up, the line can get really long (like two hours long), so it’s best to do this right when you arrive.
And let’s not forget the treats! We tried the The Grinch’s Heart Lemonade and the adorable Who-ville Present Cookie but our absolute favorite is visiting Hogsmeade village for a refreshing cup of Butterbeer™, available hot, cold, or frozen. My daughter is a big fan of the frozen version! Don’t miss “The Magic of Christmas at Hogwarts™ Castle,” a stunning light projection show that illuminates Hogwarts with beautiful colors—it’s truly enchanting!
Visiting Universal Studios Hollywood has become a cherished annual tradition for us! We get to celebrate with family and friends while enjoying the amazing rides.
