Giveaway (closed): The Swan Princess Christmas DVD

Just in time for the holidays, Sony Home Entertainment recently released The swan princess Christmas (PG, 84 mins) exclusively at Walmart. Princess Odette and Prince Derek are together for their first Christmas Celebration but the festivities come to a halt when the evil Rothbart tries to erase christmas! This CGI doesn’t compare to other big named film but families will enjoy the adventurous story line along with the DVD bonus features. Look for storybook read-along, sing-along videos and a music video by America’s Got Talent Star, Anna Gracemen called “Season of Love.”

To celebrate the release, my family and I attended a “behind-the scenes” look at the Nutcracker at the L.A. Ballet’s dance studio. We were part of an intimate group that watched a rehearsal of the Part Sequence of the Nutcracker and the rehearsal of Pas de Deux. L.A. Ballet Artistic director Thordal Christensen spoke to the group regarding the L.A. Ballet’s preparations. Christensen is an accomplished ballet dancer and artistic director. We truly enjoyed seeing him direct the dancers that same way a conductor guides an orchestra. The rehearsal process was intriguing as we got to see some of the dancers work through some difficult parts. I can’t wait to see the L.A. Ballet perform on stage this holiday season!
