Preschool tunes don’t have to be boring! Get your kids bopping while learning self-help skills with funky Genevieve Goings of “Choo Choo Soul with Genevieve”. The Disney personality is releasing her first solo album “Do You Know” which is available on June 3rd. To give families an early treat, her first single “My Telephone Number Is” will be released on iTunes on April 22.
We had the pleasure of hearing her first single, “My Telephone Number Is” as well as her second song, “Gotta Do My Business”. “My Telephone Number Is” is a catchy track, that instantly plants an ear worm in your head as Genevive cheerfully instructs kids to learn their telephone number by singing along the digits to their own area code and number. Potty training is a big deal for toddlers/preschoolers as well as their parents. Genevieve’s second release, “Gotta Do My Business” encourages kidlets to do their big boy and big girl business in privacy. The music has an upbeat, reggae sound and the vocals are silvery.
The tunes are geared for children ages 2-7 but I feel it suits the 2-5 age group. My daughter is 6.5 and felt that the songs were a little young for her, but that didn’t keep her from getting on her feet and belting out her telephone number as well as dance to “Gotta Do My Business”. I can see the little ones today digging these tunes.
