The event that celebrates free comics returns to comic shops across the country on Saturday, May 3. From super-heroes and science fiction to action/adventure and manga, Free Comic Book Day has a FREE comic for everyone! It’s the perfect family outing for picking up some free comics or hanging out with friends.

Comic books are not the only things you will be able to pick up on Free Comic Book Day, but there will also be some exclusive collectibles available in extremely limited quantities on Saturday, May 4, 2024. Please note that these items may not be available at all retailers.
YouTooz PX Dazzler glow in the dark vinyl figure and PX Deadpool and Wolverine: Wolverine black and white vinyl figure. Limited to 500 pieces each.
Fanwraps PX 32-ounce Fallout Souvenir Cups in three designs: Hubris, Unstoppable, and Vault Boy. Limited to 500 pieces each.
Surreal Entertainment PX Tin Titans: Godzilla Lunch Box with 10-ounce retro-style soup container. Limited to 1750 pieces.
The future of Free Comic Book Day is uncertain after this year, as Diamond Comic Distributors filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy last year in 2024 and they are the main organizer behind the event. Since then, a few publishers have altered their distribution plans and either used alternate distributors or cancelled their releases for the event. Even some Free Comic Book Day branded merchandise may have been effected by this, since I do not see any of the products available that were announced in 2024.
Check with your local retailer to see if they are participating in Free Comic Book Day and their policies on the free comics available. Retailers may be limiting the amount of books per person at the event, so that every person has a chance to pickup some free comics.
