Farrell’s Ice Cream Parlour Restaurants are offering two terrifyingly yummy, Halloween themed items this month! The new “Frank ‘N’ Burger” and the return of their “Sundae of the Dead” are both available until October 31 at participating Farrell’s locations. My family and I were excited to visit the Mission Viejo location for a fun taste test!
Farrell’s Frank ‘N’ Burger is 1/2 lb fresh Angus patty, 2 beef franks, 2 strips of bacon, a fried egg, American cheese, onion strings, jalapeños, Farrell’s sauce and a Jacobs Ladder (pickle) on top!
This monstrous burger is the ultimate for carnivores! The juicy Angus patty is topped with crispy bacon along with onion strings that give it a salty crunch while the jalapenos add a nice a spicy kick. I would definitely come hungry because this burger is a beast! I managed to get through 1/2 of mine! I was told that this delicious burger was the brain child of marketers and cast members! It’s been a hit so far and if you love over-the-top concoctions that this is the burger for you!
Sundae of the Dead is a dead-licious sundae that includes 3 scoops of chocolate “haunted” crunch and vanilla ice cream buried under oozing strawberry goo, hot “sludge”, with gummy worms squirming through a mound of whipped mud and Oreo dirt, Plus a big shiny cherry of doom on top!
The Sundae of the Dead is back for it’s fourth year! This year the scary-sized dessert is bigger than ever and has been christened “The Walking Sundae of the Dead”! My husband, daughter and I shared this delicious dessert and it was plenty for the three of us. Here a play by play of our edible adventure- First, start off with a scooping up Farrell’s homemade whipped cream, it is to die for! My tummy would have been content with a huge bowl of their whipped “mud and Oreo dirt”. YUM!! Second, their vanilla ice cream is creamy and heavenly. Lastly, the gummy worms add a nice visual and it’s kinda gross watching my daughter rip them apart with her fangs. Make sure to brush your teeth after this sweet treat!
Parents: Kids eat free Mon-thur all October long with the purchase of an adult entree and drink!
Make sure to visit Farrell’s at The Shops at Mission Viejo. The pinstriped waitstaff are attentive, quick and talented! Farrell’s is a fun place to celebrate a special occasion as waitstaff try to make each table’s experience unique by singing a different song to guests!
