Favor-IT: Schleich Wild Life Series Review & Giveaway

My favorite toy store section is the rows of Schleich animal figures. The figures are all so realistic they look ready for action!

Schleich is a German company manufacturing a wide range of plastic animal and other collectible figures. We received new figures from Schleich’s Wild Life series to review. The figures are durable and have excellent texture and detail. We received the following animals (animals sold separately):

African Water buffalo and his calf ($7.49, $4.99)

Kudu Antelope along with a calf ($7.49, $2.99)

Arctic fox and a kit ($2.99 each)

My daughter’s imagination instantly kicked in as she paired up the animals with their young. Teagan is almost 4 and like most children she loves animals. Her immediate favorite was the Artic fox kit. She found it irresistibly cute and thought it looked like a kitten.The kit is a small figure so keep it away from the wee ones.

Schleich animals would be perfect in a classroom setting. The quality is superb which means that they will last. The figurines are a gateway to conversation. Parents and educators can discuss animals from far away lands. They can also talk about the bond between the animals and their babies. Make sure to visit schleich.com to read details about each animal. My thought is that kids 5 and up will get the most out of Schleich toys. Teagan enjoys learning about the animals but she’s more interested in playing with them.

Schelich is celebrating their 75th anniversary. To celebrate this milestone Schleich is chronicling with the book Anywhere’s a Playground: Schleich 75^th Anniversary. This book retraces the early years of Schleich up to modern days and has pictures of original figures along with pictures of how the figures are made.
