YGG is still one of our favorite family shows! My husband and I are always happy to watch along with our preschooler. We can count on YGG for fun adventures, cool musical guests and silly actors. The latest Yo Gabba Gabba DVD is called “Super Spies”. It includes four episodes AND a NEVER-BEFORE-SEEN episode called “Super Spies”! AWESOME!
Jason Bateman guest stars in the new season four episode “Super Spies”. Bateman plays a “bad spy” who steals balloon art from the YGG gang’s party. Why? Viewers (spoiler alert!) find out it’s because he’s a fan of art and doesn’t know how to “make art himself”. This was probably Teagan’s first introduction to a “James Bond” style video. Jason Bateman was so believable to my 4.5 year old as a “bad spy” that she was afraid of him. She’s so fond of her YGG friends that she was worried that the “bad spy” was going to hurt the YGG gang and destroy their balloons. You know how kids feel about balloons. My daughter felt much better once she realized that the “bad spy” became a good spy. We all LOVED that Super Spy Foofa saved the day! Girls rule! All of the gadgets for the super YGG spies were very cool. I definitely need Plex’s sneak snap camera, “with one click we all get a cool surprise.”
All the episodes have something special for YGG fans from Biz Markie segments, to original musical performances on the “Super Music Friends Show”. We give this DVD thumbs! Even though Super Spies was a little intense for my 4.5 year old. Stealing balloons is a no-no!
