The holidays are here and families everywhere are looking for ways to celebrate. While amusement parks are a surefire way to entertain everyone, not all parks are built the same. If your family is one who likes to casts spells or drink Butterbeer, then you might want to spend the holidays at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios in Hollywood, CA.
From now until January 7, celebrate Christmas in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, where Hogsmeade is cast into wondrous spirit! And experience an all-new holiday spectacle with dazzling lights and music projected against the majestic backdrop of Hogwarts castle.
The streets of Hogsmeade will come alive with festive lights, music, garlands, and wreaths. There you’ll be able to hear the students of the Hogwarts choir, who will be accompanied by the smooth bass rumbles of their giant throaty frogs.
Or if you are hungry or craving something sweet, stop by Three Broomsticks where you will be able to indulge in seasonal food and beverages that include holiday dinner favorites and of course, Butterbeer! This holiday season HOT BUTTERBEER is on the menu and it’s soooo creamy, delicious and like drinking a piece of Werther’s candy!
Make sure to stop in at Ollivander’s Wand Shop where you could be chosen for a wand fitting. This was the highlight for my daughter and her friend when they were selected. They were each fitted with a wand in front of a small group of people. You can then decide if you will purchase the interactive wand that can be used throughout Hogsmeade to cast spells. Viola! Christmas present!
Speaking of Christmas presents, shops will have all your holiday favorites from Christmas tree ornaments, scarves, tree toppings, and figurines for your Harry Potter fan.
But you can’t come to Wizarding World of Harry Potter without taking in the rides. Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey is a must as you snake your way through the corridors of Hogwarts™ School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. It’s really impressive and then jump on Flight of the Hippogriff for a thrilling, magical ride!
You can experience Christmas in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter as well as Who-tacular Grinchmas celebration at Universal Studios Hollywood. The Grinch is back for his annual holiday event at Universal. The Studio Tour is a must as you get a glimpse of the actual set from How the Grinch Stole Christmas!
