You will find your “pot of gold” at Farrell’s this month! Farrell’s Ice Cream Parlor Restaurants is the place for large appetites in a boisterous party atmosphere and for those who aren’t scared off trying a fusion of tastes or the massive entrees! And if you are feeling lucky, stop by this month to try the new Irish themed Blarney Burger & Irish Fries plus the return of the Pot O’ Cold Sundae. Thanks to Farrell’s for letting us taste-test the items!
Let’s start off with the Blarney Burger ($13.99). What’s in it?
* Farrell’s fresh (never frozen) 1/2 lb. all-beef burger topped with Farrell’s made-from-scratch Guinness® cheese sauce, crispy Tater Tots®, succulent corned beef, and a house-made horseradish mustard and cabbage slaw. On the side? Farrell’s take on Irish nachos: french fries covered in Farrell’s finger-licking Guinness cheese sauce, bacon and green onions.
I was a bit weary of the ingredients. Would they overwhelm me? Would the combination enhance and create the perfect combination of flavor? The mammoth sized burgers arrived and it took me a minute to investigate as well as photograph it. The appearance of the burger is intimating but once tasted, every bite had a different flavor combination and it was delicious! My husband isn’t a fan of condiments but enjoyed the paring of the Guinness cheese sauce, mustard and horseradish seasonings. The burger was fresh and the corned beef is an absolute must when celebrating St. Patty’s Day. I have to admit, I couldn’t finish the burger! So, if you do happen to have a smaller appetitive I suggest sharing. The side of “Irish Nachos” elevates the burger with yummy chunks of bacon and Guinness cheese sauce over fries. Your server will also have dipping options available for you to choose from.
Now, you can’t come to Farrell’s and not have dessert! I heard that this year more chocolate was added to Farrell’s Pot O’ Cold Sundae ($8.99). This chocolate fan thanks Farrell’s for that and approve their decision. What’s in it?
* Two-scoops of Mint Chip and one-scoop of Chocolate ice cream swirled with hot fudge, freshly made green whipped cream and topped with rainbow sprinkles, and a mint cookie and a cherry!
If you love mint anything this sundae is for you. Again, it’s massive, therefore it might be best to share or not. Mint is one of my husband’s favorite flavors and this sundae did not disappoint. Looks like my family are monsters for that cookie. Who will win?
I love Farrell’s whipped cream and this sundae has plenty of it. Warning! You might look like a leprechaun- green teeth!
Test your luck at Farrell’s before these flavors disappear! Visit now through March 31st to enjoy these limited-time menu items. I think the burger should be added to their main menu. It’s that good!
