In-n-Out– It used to be just us lucky Southern Californians that got to enjoy these delicious burgers, but in the past several years they have been expanding North and East. An oldie but goodie. Order the off-menu “Animal style” and you’ll get it with carmelized onions (a must for all my burgers!). My vegetarian friends love their take on grilled cheese, too.
Umami Burger– Burgers here are a little on the small side, but the brioche bun and meat cooked to perfection keep me coming back for more. I’m currently stuck in a rut with their Port & Stilton Burger (blue cheese and port-carmelized onions)—it definitely awakens my 6th taste sense!
The Counter– An extensive toppings menu makes for a seemingless unlimited number of burger combinations. Watching carbs? No worries – The Counter’s “Burger in a Bowl” — mixed baby greens and a bun-less burger is for you! Also be sure to order a shake while you’re there. Ah-mazing!
Fuddruckers– I love boutique burger joints, but the list wouldn’t be complete without Fuddruckers. Order your meat (beef, ostrich or buffalo?). Then dress your burger in an array of toppings sure to please kid and adult palettes alike.
Kalbi Burger – A Korean burger joint? Um, yes. Thank you! We love Kalbi Burger on Wilshire Blvd. My husband enjoys the house signature Kalbi burger (do you like Korean BBQ? then this is your burger) Me? I say order the The SEOUL BURGER and do as the Koreans do. Eat kimchee! An Angus beef patty with grilled kimchee, American cheese, romaine lettuce, red onions, 1000 island sauce. It’s messy but oh so tasty! The food is fresh and not dry like some other burgers. Plus, I dig their fries. I find the prices to be cheaper than other burger spots. Vegetarians have an option here and Kabli also offers a kids menu. 감사합니다

In&Out is our favorite too! The burgers are juicy, fresh and if you add a milkshake even more delicious! Fuddruckers is also another family favorite specially when you can add the vegetables yourself and make it more your own.
Yum. Your picks are making me hungry. I may need to make a trip to the Shake Shack (one of my fave burger joints here in NYC) for a burger, fries and concrete 🙂
I love In-N-Out as well, and the Counter. My fave is a food truck – I was surprised at how good they were: Baby’s Badass Burgers. Really delicious!
Sarah, I’ve always wondered about Baby’s Badass Burgers! I’ll definitely have to keep an eye for them. ~Tee
Apparently I’ve been missing out on some great burgers because I’ve never been to any of these places :/ I believe the nearest of these restaurants to me is Fuddruckers and that one is located in Salt Lake City! Maybe one day I’ll stop in with the hubby for a bite. Until then, it’s Red Robin for me 🙂
Yum. I’ve tried all of those places except for Kalbi Burger. I’m definitely going to have to stop by next time I’m close!
I had a lame salad for dinner… Loved reading about delicious burgers! I am a huge fan of carmelized onions too!
