Netflix has released the newest trailer for “Red Notice” an action-heist film starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Gal Gadot, and Ryan Reynolds. Throughout the marketing campaign, we’ve seen just how much of a pure popcorn flick this will be with the zippy comedy, intense chase sequences, and buddy chemistry between Johnson and Reynolds. Now this latest trailer focuses on some of the bigger action sequences that you can expect to see when it hits theaters and Netflix later this year.
When the FBI’s top profiler John Hartley (Johnson) is framed for a high-priced art theft, he is forced to resort to drastic measures to clear his name by teaming up with world’s greatest art thief Nolan Booth (Reynolds). Together, they are constantly on the trail of “The Bishop” (Gadot), who always seems to be one step ahead of them.
Previous trailers played up the comedy between Johnson and Reynolds, who look like they make for quite the cinematic pair. This trailer focuses more on the action as we see plenty of car chases, prison breaks, and jumping out of windows. And we all know how much fun that can be when you’ve got three of the biggest movie stars in your action heist film.
Here’s the official plot synopsis for “Red Notice:”
When an Interpol-issued Red Notice — the highest level warrant to hunt and capture the world’s most wanted— goes out, the FBI’s top profiler John Hartley (Dwayne Johnson) is on the case. His global pursuit finds him smack dab in the middle of a daring heist where he’s forced to partner with the world’s greatest art thief Nolan Booth (Ryan Reynolds) in order to catch the world’s most wanted art thief, “The Bishop” (Gal Gadot). The high-flying adventure that ensues takes the trio around the world, across the dance floor, trapped in a secluded prison, into the jungle and, worst of all for them, constantly into each other’s company. The all star cast is joined by Ritu Arya and Chris Diamantopoulos. Directed and written by Rawson Marshall Thurber (Central Intelligence, Skyscraper) and produced by Hiram Garcia, Dwayne Johnson and Dany Garcia of Seven Bucks Productions, Beau Flynn’s Flynn Picture Co. and Thurber’s Bad Version, Inc., Red Notice is a stylish globe-trotting game of cat-and-mouse (and cat).
Written and directed by Rawson Marshall Thurber, “Red Notice” hits limited theaters on November 5, 2021, with Netflix launching on its streaming service on November 12, 2021.
